The Warmth of Country Pear: Muffins & a Candle
Share

There's something so comforting about the humble pear. Sweet, delicate, and quietly fragrant, pears remind us of slow autumn mornings, warm kitchens, and the comfort of home. Inspired by this simple fruit, I wanted to bring you not just a candle that captures its essence, but also a recipe to go alongside it.
The Candle: Country Pear
Our Country Pear Candle is a soft and cozy fragrance - a mix of ripe orchard pears, with a hint of vanilla, and subtle spice. It's the kind of scent that makes you feel like you stepped into a farmhouse kitchen, where pie is cooling on the windowsill and life moves a little slower. Light it in your home and let the aroma wrap you up like a warm quilt.
The Recipe: Spiced Pear Muffins
And because every cozy candle deserves a matching treat, here's my favourite Spiced Pear Muffin recipe. Perfect for crisp mornings, coffee breaks, or even as a light dessert

Ingredients
Batter:
- 2 cups flour
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup sour cream or plain greek yogurt
- 1/2 cup oil (avocado, extra light taste olive oil, vegetable, or canola)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2-3 pears, cut into small pieces, peel on
Crumb Topping:
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup flour
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
Preheat oven to 350F. Prepare muffin tin with paper muffin liners or cooking spray.
Combine crumb topping ingredients and set aside.
Mix batter dry ingredients. Add next 4 ingredients and mix gently until combined. Fold in pears. Spoon batter into prepared muffin tin. It should make 12-15 muffins. Sprinkle on crumb topping.
Bake for 15-17 min or until toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Enjoy warm with a slab of butter, a hot cup of coffee, and a flickering Country Pear Candle!
